Fuji is one of the best thing you could ever wish for visiting Kawaguchiko. Especially during the autumn season when the whole surrounding areas around Lake Kawaguchi is coloured with various hues of autumn leaves, Mt. Fuji ropeway is definitely the sightseeing spot that you wouldn’t want to miss!
Kawaguchiko Music Forest is a theme park that is designed to provide visitors an European experience. There are many antique musical instruments featured in the park including music boxes and self-playing musical instruments. In the park’s outdoor area, different kinds of flowers are featured in different seasons, and they are lauded for having one of the best Rose Garden in Japan. |
Culture & Heritage Activities
![]() | With its unique exterior look which is really non-Japanese, the structure design of the Art Museum is itself the artistic masterpiece of its founder Itchiku Kubota. The building is built with the Ryukyu limestome which is formed from the lava of Mt. Fuji If you wondered what is exhibited in the Art Museum, it is not the famous painting as you might have suspected. The Art Museum is dedicated to exhibit the life work of Itchiku – that is the Kimonos (Japanese traditional costume) that is dyed with a special technique called “Itchiku Tsujigahana” technique that takes Itchiku 20 years to perfect it. Besides the out-of-the-world Kimonos masterpieces exhibited in the main hall, the settings and ambient of the whole museum and its surrounding areas are very “Zen” like, and it is really a relaxing place to visit with you come to Kawaguchiko |

It offers the best photo taking spot for the visitors with its picturesque background of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. There are cafes and souvenirs shops within the facility. Among the most popular items are the hand-made blueberry jam and the blueberry soft ice cream. And, you can also experience the jam-making workshop or participant in fruit picking fun (at the nearby cherry farm)
Kawaguchiko Craft Park, located at the Lake Kawaguchiko area, is a craft center that offers a variety of hands-on handicraft workshops.
