The Hakone Open-Air Museum is a large facility comprises of good variety of Art collections. The facility includes Sculpture Garden, Main Gallery, Picasso Pavilion and Woods of Net. It was opened in 1969 as the first outdoor museum in Japan. Over the years, the museum’s collection has grown to hold over 2,000 works of art.
It’s Sculpture Garden features a good mix of contemporary outdoor sculptures in a well-maintained garden. And it’s Picasso Pavilion has a collection of over 300 works by Pablo Picasso. Centered around a group of 188 ceramic works purchased from Picasso’s daughter, Maya Picasso.
